    Editorial Principles

    Evidence-Based

All content is grounded in current medical evidence and public health research.

    Non-Judgmental

We present information without moral judgement. Health information is for everyone.

    Transparent

We cite our sources and are clear about what we know and don't know.

    Inclusive

Content is inclusive of all genders, identities, orientations, and experiences.

    Privacy Promise

Your privacy is fundamental to our service. You can use Hope AI without creating an account, and conversations are not saved to a personal profile by this website. Questions are securely sent to our AI service to generate a response. Avoid sharing names, contact details, or other identifying information. The Body Check-In stays in your browser and is cleared when you leave or refresh the page.

    Editorial & review status

We cite established public-health and clinical sources and distinguish education from personal medical advice. Content is not currently presented as individually reviewed by a named clinician. Professional clinical and legal review remains required before making any reviewer or certification claim.

How we choose sources. We prefer, in this order: the World Health Organization and other UN agencies; national public-health bodies and clinical colleges such as the NHS, CDC, ACOG and ASRM; and national statistical sources such as the Kenya Demographic and Health Survey for Kenya-specific figures. We link to the page that actually supports the statement, and for survey statistics we name the report and, where possible, the table and page number.

How we keep links current. Every source link in the Journal is checked against the destination page content, not only its status code. When an organisation retires or moves a page, we replace it with the current page that supports the same claim rather than leaving a redirect or a dead link. Each article keeps a full Sources list at the end, and substantive medical or statistical statements carry an inline link to the source beside them.

When a claim cannot be sourced. If we cannot find an authoritative source for a statement, we flag it for review and revise or remove it — we do not attach an unrelated citation to make it look supported.

Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you read on this platform. How AI is Used

Our AI health assistant provides general educational responses to health questions. It does not diagnose conditions or prescribe treatments. For urgent or complex health concerns, we always recommend consulting a qualified healthcare provider. AI responses are designed to be helpful starting points, not replacements for professional medical advice.
